Sometimes unavoidable issues arise within courier and postal services which may delay the delivery of your order. If 30 days have passed and you still haven't received your order, send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and let us know. Orders that fail to be delivered within the 30 day period may be eligible for a partial refund.
Yes. Our payments system is run through the Shopify platform. The Shopify secure payment platform is PCI compliant and meets all six categories of the PCI Standards. Shopify works hard to ensure the safety and security of customers' confidential payment information at all times. The Teapot Store is committed to keeping customers' information secure.
Placing an order on Lay-buy does come with the risk that the item/s you've put on Lay-buy may be out of stock by the time you've completed your payments. To reduce this risk, it's better to choose the shortest Lay-buy duration that you can manage.
In the unlikely event that the item/s you placed on Lay-buy have gone out of stock, we will notify you immediately. Sometimes items go out of stock for a short period of time, other times they are out of stock permanently.
If the item/s are temporarily out of stock you'll be notified of the approximate wait time and be given the opportunity to receive the item/s when they become available.
If you choose not to wait for the item/s to be restocked or the item/s are permanently out of stock, you will have the option of exchanging the item/s for something else in our store, having the amount you have paid returned to you in the form of a gift voucher or a refund minus our administration fees.
Damage to an order is rare but sometimes it does happen. We make every effort to ensure each and every item is packed securely enough to reach their destination in perfect condition but sometimes items are handled roughly during transport.
Although frustrating, there's no need for you to worry if your item is damaged during transport. Just send us an email as soon as possible and let us know what happened. Feel free to attach a photo or two to better help us understand what went wrong.
After getting in touch we will have you ship the items to our returns address and we will have a replacement item sent out to you straight away.
If for some reason it's not possible for us to replace the item (eg. out of stock) we will provide you with a full refund.
If you haven't notified us of the damage within 14 days of receiving your order, unfortunately you won't be eligible for a replacement or refund.
We rarely have customers who aren't happy with their purchase but sometimes it does happen. Simply get in touch with us via email as soon as possible, let us know why you're not happy and we will work together with you to find the best solution. Feel free to add some photos with your email so we can understand exactly where our product has failed to meet your expectations.
If your product is incorrect, faulty or varies greatly from the description and photos displayed on our website we will happily replace the item or provide a full refund if a replacement isn't available. Prior to processing your refund or shipping your replacement, we will have you ship the item to our returns address.
If we aren't notified within 14 days of you receiving the item, unfortunately you won't be eligible for a refund or replacement.
Unfortunately once payment is made and your items are shipped we are unable to issue a refund or exchange your items for something else you like.
If you get in touch with us as soon as possible after placing your order and we have not yet shipped your items, we may be able to swap the items to something else of your choosing. This will be decided on a case by case basis and any cost difference will need to be covered by the customer.
No refunds will be issued for a change of mind after payment has been made.
